LET/S, as the data controller, is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This privacy policy explain how LET/S processes your personal data. LET/S is focused on protecting your personal data and processing it in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Implementation Act.

Please read these Rules carefully to understand why and how we collect your personal data and how it will be used. In case of any questions or complaints related to this Privacy policy or the handling of personal data, you can contact us via e-mail or mail at the addresses provided above.

  1. DATA COLLECTION

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual. An identifiable individual is a person who can be directly or indirectly identified, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, identification number, location data, online identifier, or one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of that individual.

We collect your personal data only when you voluntarily provide us with such information, in accordance with the provisions of these Rules.

Certain information and data that are not personal data may be automatically collected through our internet servers or through the use of “cookies”.

Examples of site usage information include: the most visited and viewed pages and links on our website, the number of forms filled out, time spent on the page, the most popular keywords that lead users to our site, your IP address, information collected through cookies, data about your device such as hardware settings, system activities, types of browsers, etc.

  1. BASIS FOR DATA PROCESSING

Newsletter

If you wish to receive newsletters about our offers, new content on the website, you can provide your email address via the form with optional entry of your name and surname for the purpose of message personalization. An email confirmation of your newsletter subscription will be sent to the email address provided by the User before the first newsletter is sent for the purpose of double authentication.

This confirmation is used to verify whether the email owner, as the data subject, agrees to receive the newsletter. Personal data collected for the purpose of newsletter subscription will be used solely for sending our newsletter.

For managing subscriptions and newsletter deliveries, we use the Mailchimp platform. Mailchimp exports personal data outside the EU based on standard contractual clauses for the transfer of personal data. The Mailchimp system records newsletter openings and clicks on links to offer statistical data on which content was of interest to newsletter recipients.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by selecting the unsubscribe option provided in the received newsletter or by contacting DARIO@LETSEVENTS.QA. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal. Newsletter subscription is voluntary and the user will not suffer any negative consequences if they do not give or withdraw consent.

In case of withdrawal of consent, you will no longer receive our newsletter, and the email addresses that have been unsubscribed remain in our unsubscribe list to demonstrate compliance with legal obligations.

  1. PURPOSE OF DATA PROCESSING

We process your personal data when necessary for marketing purposes, to improve our business and your user experience (e.g., when you purchase or order products and/or services from us, when you contact our customer service, when you subscribe to our newsletter, when you complete a survey about our products and services, etc.).

User’s personal data are processed for one of the following purposes:

  • personalization of user experience – the collected information helps us better meet individual user needs
  • improvement of the website – we constantly strive to improve the website offering based on feedback received from users
  • establishing the primary communication channel with users
  • sending newsletters;
  • for the conclusion and fulfillment of rights and obligations arising from sales contracts.
  1. RECIPIENTS OF PERSONAL DATA

User’s personal data may be provided to our trusted partners who maintain our IT system or provide services on behalf of LET/S. For example, for marketing purposes, finance, advertising, payment processing, delivery, and other services.

These service providers are obligated, in accordance with regulations and contractual obligations, to use the transferred data strictly for the specified purpose. We also require partners to adequately protect the transferred data and treat it as confidential information.

In some cases, our partners providing services on behalf of or for LET/S may process your data outside the European Union. However, the contracts we enter into with such entities bind them to handle your data with special security measures in accordance with the regulations in force in the European Union.

  1. PROTECTION OF YOUR DATA

To protect the collected personal data, we use physical, technical, and organizational security measures. We continually upgrade and test our security technology. We limit access to user’s personal data only to those employees who need to know that information to provide you with some benefits or services. Additionally, we educate ourselves on the importance of data confidentiality and the preservation of privacy and the protection of your data.

  1. STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA

All data is stored in databases and repositories in the Republic of Croatia. We will not transfer or store data in countries outside the European Union except for the data collected by the Mailchimp newsletter sending system based on standard contractual clauses for the transfer of personal data.

The personal data we collect about you is stored in a secure environment. Your personal data are protected from unauthorized access, disclosure, use, alteration, or destruction by any organization or individual.

The collected data for the above-mentioned purposes will be stored only for as long as necessary for the above-mentioned purposes. Your personal data will not be kept in a form that allows you to be identified for longer than LET/S reasonably considers necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were collected or processed.

LET/S will retain certain personal data for the period of time prescribed by law or regulation that obliges LET/S to retain the data.

If you have given us consent, we will process your personal data until you withdraw your consent. If you make a legitimate objection to the processing of personal data based on legitimate interest, we will not process your personal data in the future.

If a judicial, administrative, or other proceeding is initiated, personal data may be stored until the end of such proceeding, including any possible period for filing legal remedies.

We will retain and evaluate information about your recent visit to our website and how you used various parts of our website for analytical purposes, i.e., to understand how users use our website.

  1. USER RIGHTS

User rights related to the protection of personal data, under the conditions specified in these Rules and applicable regulations are:

Right of access: You have the right to obtain from us confirmation as to whether your personal data are being processed, and if such personal data are being processed, access to personal data. Information on access includes – among other things – the purposes of processing, categories of personal data concerned, recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed.

However, this is not an unconditional right and the interests of other individuals may limit your right of access. You have the right to obtain a copy of the personal data being processed. For further copies requested, we may charge a reasonable fee based on administrative costs.

Right to rectification: You have the right to obtain from us the rectification of your inaccurate personal data. Considering the purposes of processing, you have the right to complete incomplete personal data, among other things, by providing additional statements.

Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”): You have the right to obtain from us the erasure of your personal data, and we are obliged to erase such personal data.

Right to restriction of processing: You have the right to obtain from us restriction of processing your personal data. In this case, the appropriate data will be marked and may only be processed for certain purposes.

Right to object: You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for reasons related to your particular situation or when personal data are processed for direct marketing purposes, and you may request from us to no longer process your personal data.

Right to data portability: You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit those data to another controller without hindrance from us.

  1. NOTICE OF PERSONAL DATA BREACH

If you are not satisfied with how we process your personal data, you can contact the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency.

In case of a personal data breach, we will notify you and the competent supervisory authority by email message within 72 hours about the extent of the breach, the data involved, the potential impact on our services, and our planned measures to secure the data and limit any harmful effects on individuals.

We will not send you a notice of breach in case:

  • if there are technical and organizational protection measures, such as encryption, applied to personal data affected by the personal data breach, rendering them unintelligible to any person not authorized to access them;
  • if we have taken subsequent measures to ensure that the breach is unlikely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms;
  • if it would require disproportionate effort, in which case we will inform you by means of public communication or equally effective measures.

A personal data breach means a breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of, or access to, personal data transmitted, stored, or otherwise processed in connection with the provision of our services.
